40ft PoliNations Trees installed at Glastonbury’s Shangri-La stage

In June 2025, we worked with award winning public arts organisation Trigger on a spectacular collaboration with Glastonbury Festival’s iconic Shangri-La stage.

Known for bold, cross-disciplinary work that reimagines public space and engages audiences in unexpected ways, Trigger transformed the festival landscape with their towering 40ft PoliNations trees. The trees were draped in a canvas and scenes of nature were projected onto them to complement Shangri-La’s theme of rewilding and biodiversity. Originally part of a living ‘super garden’ in Birmingham’s Victoria Square the trees formed a canopy and collected rainwater to feed the living oasis of 6,000 plants.

The installation went down a treat with festival goers on social media platforms. Our role focussed on the PR side, aiming to achieve cut-through for Trigger in a very crowded landscape. A member of the team attended for the initial two days, assisting with media and co-ordinating interviews. Our spokespeople and messages were platformed across broadcast and digital, including an interview with Trigger’s Creative Director on BBC iPlayer’s Glastonbury live stream, coverage in Dezeen and Creative Boom and an interview with the Creative Director of the Shangri-La stage on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, telling the PoliNations story.
